Mexico City, Mexico (El Paso Times): With an amendment to its constitution, passed by the Mexico legislature, there's an aim to implement justice and replace ineptness and corruption in its courts. All 32 states and President Felipe Calderon have signed on. […] Defendants will now have access to a translator; many in Mexico do not speak the native tongue, Spanish.

Caramba con estos articulitos... El sistema judicial de México, en el papel, posiblemente sea uno de los mejores del mundo. El problema es la realidad: la corrupción, la impunidad, la lentitud, etc. Es innegable que falta mucho por hacer.

Pero al empezar su artículo con esta frase: "Innocent until proven guilty ... we've gone by that precept as long as we've been a nation. It's good to see our neighbor, Mexico, finally following suit.", y hablar del "sistema inquisitorial" de México, dan ganas de recordarles una palabrita nada más a los de ElPasoTimes: Guantánamo.
